Building regulations drawings are the best way to go about this. They contain information detailing the specifics of the build required to comply with building control standards. That includes things like access, heat, light, ventilation, fire safety and much more.

These drawings can then be used to get accurate quotations from builders to do the conversion itself, and in many cases will also act as the foundation of their building work following their own site inspection and changes/additional information.
